[oplinwebkits] IMPORTANT: OPLIN Website Kit hiatus

Hello all, 

Those of you who have been with OPLIN for a while are already familiar with the OPLIN Website Kit hiatus, which takes place in November and part of December. As a reminder and as an introduction to folks newer to the Kits, every year OPLIN ceases all work on all Website Kits during this time, in order to perform major upgrades and add new features. 

This year, the planned new features include: 


    • A direct link to the Website Kit manual from your library's administrative block 
    • Conversion of the old event system (that uses cloning) to the newer calendar system (that has event repeat capability)--for those sites that don't already have it 
    • Replacement of the Web File Manager with a more intuitive and visual file browser for managing images 


In order to accomplish this for all of OPLIN's customers, all other website work will be put on hold during this time. If your library has a site anywhere in the work queue during this period, work will re-start once the hiatus work is complete. If your site is not yet live during this time, these features will still be added to your site.
