**Items in AVAIL_SOON and CATALOGING status are items that you added to the catalog but did not Check In. They will NEVER come up on your Onshelf Items List. Holds may be pending against these items. Please check them in as soon as possible.
Required Maintenance

There are many items that have been cataloged that are still in AVAIL_SOON or CATALOGING status. Currently consortium-wide, there are 5,389 items created before December 1, 2019 in AVAIL_SOON status and 1,043 that have a home location of CATALOGING. There are also 55 records with an UNKNOWN Item Type.
The following reports can be obtained from Item Group Editor or BLUEcloud Analytics
Some codes may not appear in your gadget pool. (CATALOGING, UNKNOWN) You can however type the code manually in the appropriate search boxes.
Note: You may not have access to Item Group Editor.  Item Group Editor is available when logging in as a TECH or MANAGER. You will need to type the policy, in ALL CAPS, to obtain your lists.
In BLUEcloud Analytics, the report titled, LIST OF TITLES WITH OPTIONAL FILTERS, will provide you with a list of titles, item ID's, etc. This report is located in the ITEMS folder, in the sub-folder of LIST OF TITLES REPORTS. You can filter by home location, Item cat 1, 2, 3 or by item type. The less a report is filtered, the more results you will receive.
If you do not have access to BLUEcloud Analytics, please contact SEO and we will provide you with log in credentials.

*      Current Location of AVAIL_SOON ---- Please check your shelves and if any items are found, please check them in.
*      Home Location of CATALOGING---- Please check your shelves. If any items are found, please edit the home location and check in the item. To alleviate possible duplication, do this before creating your IGE report for items with the Current Location of Cataloging.
*      Current Location of CATALOGING---- Please check your shelves and if any items are found, please check them in.
*      Item Type of UNKNOWN---- Please edit the Item Type.

Tips:
*      Be sure to check your shelves for items identified in your lists.
*      Always be sure to check-in any items you find using the Check-In Wizard.
*      Remember that a last activity date range can be selected in Item Group Editor.
