The State Library is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, September 13 at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on how to get started with the Ohio Collection Analysis Initiative. This 75-minute webinar will guide attendees through learning how to import data and use the tools to purposefully reflect, augment, compare, and determine which titles best fit their community’s needs. Attendees will receive a plan that equips them to both implement their decisions and routinize these tools in future practices.

On September 20 at 3:30 p.m. (ET) the State Library is hosting Start Small: Easily Enhancing Front-Facing Displays and Lesson Plans. This workshop will focus on analyzing sets of five to fifteen titles that may be used by all kinds of library and school staff. Rather than spending weeks or months on a complex audit, attendees will learn to use fast and convenient tools that make collection analysis a much simpler process. All registrants will receive access to resources and action plans that document their collection development decisions.

This initiative provides the tools and support to consider your library’s print collections for children and young adults.

  *   Unlimited access to a vetted collection of materials about children's & young adult books and authors.  
  *   Identifiable action steps. You will receive a custom Implementation Plan that outlines your collection development decisions and next steps.
