[SEO-Members] 15 Public Libraries Awarded Know Your Flow Ohio Grant

[cid:image004.jpg at 01DB4FC1.8D0A8180]The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce the selection of 15 public libraries for the Know Your Flow Ohio Grant<https://dx-authoring.myohio.gov/wps/myportal/gov/lib/libraries/grants/know-your-flow-grant/know-your-flow-grant>. A State Library review committee carefully reviewed proposals and chose the following participants through a competitive application process:

Ashland Public Library
The Brumback Library
Bucyrus Public Library
Columbiana Public Library
Conneaut Public Library
Germantown Public Library
Huron County Community Library
Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library
Mechanicsburg Public Library
Medina County District Library
Mentor Public Library
Pickaway County District Public Library
Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County
Williams County Public Library
Wornstaff Memorial Public Library

Each library selected will receive one menstrual product dispenser and menstrual hygiene supplies from Aunt Flow. As part of this special grant program, these libraries will also receive $1,000 to acquire additional Aunt Flow supplies and create health programs focused on menstrual hygiene, education, and menopausal health information. Libraries will also join monthly virtual networking meetings as a cohort.

"I'm thrilled with the response to one of the first-of-its-kind LSTA grant opportunities in the United States," expressed Evan T. Struble, Associate State Librarian for Library Development. "Libraries often play a critical role in addressing healthcare informational needs within their communities, and this pilot program will allow the cohort selected to be an extension of that, while providing education regarding menstrual health." The Know Your Flow Ohio grant program is supported in part with federal funding awarded to the State Library from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and in partnership with National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) Region 6<https://www.nnlm.gov/about/regions/region6>.
