[SEO-Members] Mending policies

Would anyone like to share their mending policies at their institutions? For example, how long do you wait until a book needs repaired until you send it to the Technical Services Department? Are there only certain mending-type issues you fix (i.e. binding, torn pages, etc.)? Does the Technical Services Dept. do all of the mending? Thank you in advance for your input.
