Hi,
Apologies for cross posting.
The Ohio Library Council Technical Services Division Action Council is looking for people interested in presenting at OLC Convention & Expo at Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky on October 21-23, 2026, or taking part in a technical services webinar this summer.

We have some ideas for subjects including:
-The Future of Tech Services
-ILS migration
-Book mending
-Linked data
-Changes to RDA (cataloging), changes to MARC record
-MarcEdit basics or tips
-Practical applications of AI in Tech Services (cataloging, collection development, or in general)
-AI challenges in in Tech Services (cataloging, collection development, or in general)
-Dealing with AI generated books
-ANYTHING collection development or cataloging
-Cataloging non-traditional items
-Training on series statements
-BIBFRAME
-Kits (cataloging and packaging and labeling)
-Tech Services workflow assessment and management
-Conducting diversity audits
-Advocating for Tech Services
-Classification
-Organization of local history collections

If you or someone you know already have or are interested in forming a presentation for one of these topics, please let us know.

If you already have submitted a proposal to OLC and your topic is related to Technical Services, also let us know and we could sponsor your presentation.

Remember, if your proposal is chosen by OLC, you will get a discounted speaker rate to attend.  Panels/presentations are limited to 4 total speakers.
