Second Lady Usha Vance is offering a certificate, bookmark, small prize, and chance to visit Washington, DC for children in grades K-8 who read 12 books of their choice between June 1 and September 4. We see this as an easy boost to your existing programs, and a way to support and promote the Second Lady's commitment to summer reading. To help you spread the word, we offer the following materials:
* A fillable reading log<https://www.imls.gov/sites/default/files/2026-06/2026-SLOTUS-SRC-Form_fillable_0.pdf> to be submitted online<https://www.whitehouse.gov/read/submit/> by September 4, 2026
* A flyer and social media messages/graphics on the IMLS website<https://www.imls.gov/our-work/partnerships/summer-reading-challenge>
We appreciate everything you do to support reading, year after year!
