Government Resources on the Internet

Description:  Let the government help you find it!  Government information
is now more accessible via the Web, but the number of resources available
can be overwhelming.  Learn to use government resources effectively.  Gain
hands-on experience exploring local, national and international "official"
sites to locate online journals, full-text documents and discussion groups.
Guided exercises will help you apply search strategies and use specialized
search engines and indexes.  

Genealogical Research for Librarians & Archivists

in training the user to explore the web efficiently, ignore the clutter, and
evaluate information.

reviews, and adapt bookstore shelving and display techniques. Explore the
advantages of writing book reviews and learn new resources for book
discussion groups. Adult and YA fiction and non-fiction will be covered. 

 

Local History Resources for Librarians & Archivists

Description:  Has the Ohio Bicentennial bug bitten your library? Are

their customers. Learn about print and online resources for Ohio and early
U.S. history, maps and their uses, military history and records, and land
records. Use city directories and county resources to search for people.
Explore popular history and military web sites, and gather tips for more
