LSTA Automation Grants Available

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce the availability of
Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds for automation grant
proposals. The Automation grant program will allow libraries which are
not yet automated or underautomated to retrospectively convert their
collection and to join or link their records to an automated library
consortium. Automation projects must demonstrate a capability to
contribute to statewide resource sharing. Priority will be given to
libraries not yet automated. A local cash match of 25% of the total
project cost is required.

Proposals are due at the State Library by 4:00 p.m. March 8, 2006.
Approved proposals will run from October 1, 2006 through September 30,
2007.

The Request for Proposal, Application Guidelines, other documents to
assist with preparing the application, and webcast training can be found
