Another round in the ongoing discussion of scratched discs?

Recently someone from Circulation relayed a patron's question: Why don't
we use "those protector things" on our CDs and DVDs? "Those protector
things" turn out to be clear adhesive plastic covers that are applied to
the data sides, "kind of like lamination".

Some Googling turned up two names for products that somewhat match that
description: Azuradisc Scratch Guards (http://www.azuradisc.com/) and
d_Skin Protective Disc Skins (no URL on the page). Have any of you used
those products, and if so, what do you think of them? Is there another
brand you prefer?

Thanks in advance!
