OHIONET would like to offer libraries the following training
opportunity:


Display This! Merchandising Made Simple

 


Marketing libraries has become a necessity, not a luxury! Learn the
principles of display and visual merchandising, how to create different
styles and vignettes using multiple formats, Coach Cooper's "do's and
don'ts," rules and tools of the trade, and how to design a merchandise
plan for your library. Please bring home or fashion magazines that you
don't mind cutting photos from.

Julia Cooper

 

Julia Cooper has over ten years of retail and service management
experience, including visual merchandising for Liberty Books & News,
Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Pier One Imports, and Storage Options and
Solutions, specialty retailer. Ms. Cooper has a B.S. degree in Retailing
and Consumer Behavior from the University of Tennessee, an M.L.S. from
Indiana University, and an M.B.A. in Marketing from The Ohio State
University. She created the first marketing course for Kent State
University SLIS in 2003. As an independent consultant, she has worked
with executives and managers from OCLC, Grandview Heights Public
Library, Worthington Libraries, Marketing Education Resources Center,
and the YWCA of Central Ohio. She has also conducted Marketing Research
for such Fortune 500 companies as Wendy's and Kraft.
