[OPLINLIST] Map Restoration Advice

Hello!
Our county treasurer was moving a bookcase and found a 1907 map of Paulding
County nailed to the wall. They removed it and it tore a bit. They want to
know how to preserve it without damaging it further. The size is about 3' x
4'. It is flat right now.

I had suggested carrying it carefully on cardboard to a frame shop (Hobby
Lobby, etc.) and have them frame it as-is. But I told them I would ask my
colleagues throughout Ohio for their expert advice, first. (Treasurer's
office was duly impressed when I said we would be glad to research this for
them...it was our job!)

Anyway, any archivists out there with advice? Thanks in advance.
Susan
