Position Title: Adult Outreach Librarian, Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library

Location: Stow, OH

Description:

The Adult Outreach Librarian provides library outreach services and programming to older adults in the communities of Stow and Munroe Falls, as well as performing the duties of a Reference Librarian at the Information Desk. The Adult Outreach Librarian is responsible for the selection, maintenance and delivery of materials to senior housing buildings, collecting and coordinating monthly drop collection deliveries to area nursing facilities, and coordinating the Homebound Program. This librarian is also responsible for maintaining detailed files including those of patron reading preferences and specific item requests.
Qualifications:

•        MLS or MLIS from an ALA accredited library school
•        Experience working with older adults
•        Excellent oral and written communication skills
•        Excellent organizational and time management skills
•        Valid Ohio Driver’s License
•        Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds (bins filled with books)
•        Reader’s Advisory / Well-rounded knowledge of fiction genres and authors
•        Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher

Schedule: Includes daytime, evening and weekend hours

Salary: 14.24 / hour
