[OPLINLIST] FW: OpenDNS Question

To be CIPA compliant, I believe you need to filter ALL computers in the
library that have Internet access. This includes staff computers as well as
patron computers.

Hopefully you have a DHCP server set up in your network. I'd suggest
changing it there. That way all computers should be changed at once, with
the possible exception of a few statically configured devices.

Of course, if you're not trying to be CIPA compliant, then you don't need
to filter ALL of the computers and you can use any combination of
DHCP/manual assignments you choose!

For sanity, I'd suggest changing all of your DNS to point to the OpenDNS's
DNS servers (preferably in a single central method) rather than trying to
piece-meal it out.

HTH,
Chad
