Please excuse cross-postings.

Do you find yourself “putting on a happy face” at work? With patrons? With colleagues? Did you know that many different forms of work contain a requirement, often unspoken, for employees to do just that? Careers with high customer service interactions like nursing, food service, retail and librarianship (just to name a few) can often take a toll on employees’ physical and emotional health. Join us on June 13th to hear from Dr. Miriam Matteson and OhioNET’s own, Shelly Miller, and learn about this invisible but powerful aspect of work-life for many of us. Attendees will explore the science behind these emotional requirements, and learn about tactics (for both individuals and organizations) that can lessen the negative impacts these tasks can bring and increase your engagement with the work you love.
