Jim,

We are working on pricing for all the versions of Trend Micro's Client =
Server Suite.

For those of you who like or use SOPHOS, OPLIN has begun dialog with them =
in an attempt to offer their suite of products at a reduced cost as well.

It should be noted that OPLIN does not endorse any one AV product; however =
we do endorse having an up-to-date AV product. Therefore, OPLIN is =
attempting to negotiate volume discount with several AV companies at this =
time. It is our hope to have several offerings by the OPLIN Stakeholders =
meeting in October. Please be assured we will not wait until Stakeholders =
to reveal any discounts we are able to obtain. We will release an update =
to the OPLIN email lists as we reach agreements with the various AV =
vendors.

Don

We have been using Trend OfficeScan SMB for workstations and Trend
ScanMail for Exchange with Emanager for quite some time It offers a web
based control panel and clients can easily be updated remotely. Is this
what you are looking at Don?

Out of all of them I think it offers the best management with ability of
staff to download and install client or for IT to push it out to
workstations.=20

OPLIN is currently working with Trend Micro to offer their suite of
products at a reduced rate. We hope to have the finer details worked out
in the weeks to come. We will post the offer to OPLINTech as soon as we
have complete the negotiations.=20

In the mean time, if anyone is using an expired AV and needs to renew
their license or wants to replace their current solutions, please feel
free to contact the OPLIN Support Center at 888-966-7546 and we will see
what we can do to help.

Karen,

I wouldn't jump ship right away. Is it no longer updating itself
because the licence expired, or because something is broken?

We are using Symantec Enterprise and also Symantec Mail Security on our
exchange server. This product works so very well for us and we have had
nothing but success. =20

If you really want to look at another product, I would suggest the Trend
Micro Suite. They just released a new server based product that not
only does the antivirus, but also has active 0-day alerting and
signature based active spyware removal with full reporting capabilities.
I have heard from some others that this product is a viable replacement
for the Symantec suite.

If you could be more specific why your -current is not updating, maybe I
could offer some suggestions to get to back on your update cycle (that
is unless your licence expired).
