[OPLINTECH] Phantom gateway:

Hi all,
I want to thank all of you who replied to try to help. I've found the
problem, & unfortunately it was self induced (that's about par for the
course). Several months ago I had a hub go down on me and I needed a
replacement in a hurry. I didn't have one available as a backup (I do now).
So I improvised and used a small Netgear router. I turned the print server
and dhcp off, and set it up as a hub. Well, either someone managed to get
into the setup (possible but not likely) or a power outage we had last week
reset all the settings. I had forgotten about it until I walked past it a
little while ago. Logged into it and sure enough it was enabled (DHCP is
enabled by default on this router). It is no longer connected and I'm sure
that the phantom gateway will disappear with it. Lesson learned.
Thanks again,
