[OPLINTECH] APC and Tripplite response for a warranty problem from the power hit Tuesday.

I sent pretty much the same request to both companies for warranty replacements. 
(not the APC recall).
Great response time for both. Less than 24 hours.

This is part of the request to APC (extra *D* and all).

*After power was finally restored, some breakers, controlling PC's, printers 
etc., would not reset. ***

***I unplugged a surged protector and 1 breaker reset. ***

*Did the same for another surge protector and another breaker reset. And so 
forth. *

***Turns out 3 surge protectors took the hit, but seemed to save the

*APC* response:
*Robert, can you please check whether the units that is under question is works 
fine when it is directly connected to wall outlet. Also please confirm whether 
is there any damage to connected equipment other than PC. *

Well no, they don't work fine.
That's why the breaker kept tripping when the surge protector was plugged in the 
outlet.
As for damage. I sort of covered that too in the last sentence.

Sent the same message to TrippLite, except 5 units instead of 3.

*TrippLite *response:
*Your replacement order number is 17309100. You should receive your warranty 
replacement units within 7-10 business days.*
