Subject: Fall Workshop: Processing Digital Records for Access and Preservation: What to Do and How to Do it

Through the generous co-sponsorship of IUPUI's Department of Library and Information Science, School of Informatics and Computing, the Society of Indiana Archivists is pleased to host a leader in the area of digital preservation, Dr. Christopher J. Prom, in Indianapolis this October for our annual Fall Workshop.

Processing Digital Records for Access and Preservation: What to Do and How to Do it

Friday, October 20th, 2017

Indianapolis, IN

In this hands-on workshop, you will explore practical workflows that can tame that growing backlog of digitized or born digital items-or can help you reach out to donors confidently, if you have yet to take the born-digital plunge. You'll also work through some hands-on exercises in small teams to actually process a digital collection, before discussing the pros and cons of various tools that you might wish to use to address more complex sets of records or problems.

Registration Fees: (includes a light breakfast, beverages, and afternoon refreshments)

SIA Members: $35

SIA Student Members: $25

Non-SIA Members: $55

Please visit our website at https://societyofindianaarchivists.wildapricot.org/fall2017wksp for more details and to register.
