Ohio University's History Department, in collaboration with the Central Region Humanities Center, presents the biennial conference, "Gender and Sexuality in the Midwest<https://www.ohio.edu/cas/central-region-humanities-center/gender-sexuality-midwest>," taking place on Friday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., at the Baker Center Theater. The two-day conference will delve into the complex and often overlooked histories of gender and sexuality in the Midwest, examining how these themes have shaped the region's cultural and social fabric. The event promises a dynamic lineup of panels, lectures, and discussions that will engage both scholars and the broader community.
