  CATCH A GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE AND PLAN TO JOIN US
FOR THE ANNUAL LUNCHEON MEETING OF THE CENTRAL OHIO
CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR INFORMATION
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ON THURSDAY, MAY 5TH, 2005
AT THE FAWCETT CONFERENCE CENTER IN COLUMBUS, OHIO.
     Our honored speaker is Joe Branin, Director of Libraries
for The Ohio State University, whose topic will be
"New Spaces and Places in the Ohio State University
Libraries".  In this presentation, Mr. Branin will describe
how Ohio State University Libraries and other research
libraries are responding to changes in the information 
technology, higher education, and public funding environments.
Particular focus will be devoted to two projects: Ohio State's
Knowledge Bank Project to collect and preserve the digital
assets of the University, and the major renovation of the
William Oxley Thompson Library, OSU's grand, historic Main
Library at the center of campus.
    This is a great opportunity to meet Mr. Branin and
to find out more about the Ohio State Libraries today.

The cost is $20.00 and for students, we have a special
price of $15.00.  *A grilled vegetarian sandwich can be 
ordered for you on request. Parking is free.

door with cash or check. All reservations must be paid for,
unless cancelled by April 29th.  If paying by check in advance,
