  Reaching Out to Patrons with Social Tools and the Web
  <http://www.swonlibraries.org/viewevent?id=898>

The web is no longer just a conduit for one-way communication; it has
evolved into a platform for collaboration and building communities.
Online social tools are the building blocks of Web 2.0 and libraries are
already using them to effectively reach out to patrons.

Join us for a hands-on demonstration and discussion about blogs, RSS,
wikis, podcasting, folksonomies, instant messaging, and other social
tools that your patrons are already using. Glen will show many examples
of libraries already using these technologies to interact with patrons
via the Web.
