Organizational Relationship:  Reports to Director

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Library Science from ALA-accredited school; 

One to three years of library experience preferred.

One to three years of management experience required.

Experience working with personal computers and/or website maintenance preferred.

Possession of a valid driver's license or transportation as needed is required.

Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

 

Overview:

Manages a busy department and supervises 1.5 full time staff members.  Performs Reference

Desk functions such as answering reference questions in person, by telephone, or email utilizing

the library's materials collection, online card catalog & databases, Internet & local history

resources.  Oversees public Internet computers and provides reader's advisory services.

Responsible for adult collection development duties; oversees a small homebound/outreach 

Program; also supervises adult and teen programming.  Actively participates on the library

management team with the Director.  Acts as the Manager-On-Duty in the absence of the Director 

or his/her Assistant.

 

Salary Range: 

$27,500 - $31,000 with a competitive benefits package.
