OHIONET would like to offer libraries the following training
opportunity:


Basic Source Training: General Reference

 


General Reference is a basic introduction to almanacs, encyclopedias,
dictionaries, and other sources - both print and electronic - to answer
quick reference questions. This session includes exercises, hands-on
practice, and discussion. The focus is primarily electronic resources.

Debbie Shaw & Susan Malloy

 


Developed by the Columbus Metropolitan Library, this workshop is part of
a series of reference training entitled Basic Source Training, and is
presented by experienced CML reference staff. Debbie Shaw is a librarian
in the Fine Arts Division at the Main Library of the Columbus
Metropolitan Library. A librarian for more than 30 years, she
specializes in reference services and library automation in academic,
special, and public libraries. Susan Malloy is a librarian in the
Popular Library Division at the Main Library.
