Rediscovering the Lost Art of Customer Service
  <http://www.swonlibraries.org/viewevent?id=1011>

Have you noticed that Customer Service has become nearly extinct? Here's
your opportunity to learn how to set yourself apart -- by rediscovering
the lost art of customer service -- and it IS an art! You'll discover:

· how to avoid the abuse of technology in your interaction with patrons.
· what it really means to take care of those who use your services.
· 15 seldom used techniques that will nurture your relationships.
· what customers really want to hear from you.

And in the rare (!) instance that you encounter a somewhat difficult
patron, you'll learn:

· 11 specific steps to take to satisfy that patron.
· 5 of the best ways to combat the stress that sometimes accompanies
those encounters.

If you deal with patrons in any way, or if you deal with internal
library customers, don't miss this opportunity to "be the best you can be!"

*Linda Bruno's* experience encompasses more than twenty years of
hands-on management experience and highlights a broad range of
leadership skills. She has managed areas such as purchasing, customer
service, and sales - a diversity that has allowed her to develop an
exceptional overall view of the business environment. Her experience as
a national trainer with Dun & Bradstreet has expanded her ability to
communicate effectively. When training, her ability to combine humor and
real-life experience with her knowledge of the topics she presents
enables her to relate to her audience in a unique way.

Linda resides in Ocala, Florida, with her husband, Guy. When she is not
sharing her knowledge with others, she can be found writing articles and
greeting cards, reading, making jewelry or spending time with her
husband and their animals.
