    The Pickaway County District Public Library has an opening for a 
Reference Services Coordinator. I am posting the information below.

                        REFERENCE SERVICES COORDINATOR



The Pickaway County District Public Library is looking for a qualified 
individual interested in customer service to manage its reference and 
information services from a 29,000 square foot facility. Duties include: 
selecting reference and young adult materials, overseeing periodical and 
newspaper collection, supervising two part-time reference assistants (soon 
to be three) and two part-time shelvers, and providing patron assistance 
using print, non print, electronic and internet resources. This full-time 
position (40 hours per week) reports to Library Director, and includes some 
weekend and evening hours. Qualifications: 4 year college degree required, 
MLS from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent desirable, at least two 
years public library experience and one year supervisory experience; good 
knowledge of reference resources and techniques; knowledge of and experience 
with internet and electronic resources; good communication skills; good 
computer skills; and knowledge of current young adult literature. Starting 
salary range $24,800 - $30,098 (DOQ). Very good benefit package. Send
