Kent State University School of Library and Information Science invites
you to:

 

Columbus Library Careers Night

Tuesday, March 25 at the State Library of Ohio

 

Join us as we host the 2nd annual Columbus Library Careers Night, this
year at the State Library of Ohio. Over 25 exhibitors from all facets of
librarianship will be on hand to talk with you about careers in this
amazing profession. On hand will be public, school, medical, law, and
corporate representatives, as well as representatives from professional
organizations such as OELMA, OLC, SLA, and ALAO.

 

The event begins at 5:00 PM with a panel discussion where the audience
can listen to the experts talk about finding and applying for jobs in
the profession and ask questions. Panelists include Jim Bracken from The
Ohio State University Libraries; Kathy Halsey representing OELMA and
school librarianship; Susie Frederick from Riverside Methodist Hospital
medical library; Jay Burton from the State Library; and Chris Taylor
from Columbus Metropolitan Library.

 

Following the panel discussion, exhibits will be open from 6:00 until
7:30.

 

The event is free and open to the public and everyone is encouraged to
take this opportunity to learn, network, make new friends and see
colleagues from all over central Ohio!
