Greetings!

 

There is still time for you or a fellow staff member to register for
OHIONET's workshop, Demographics, Mapping, Marketing, and Technology: A
Hands-On, Heads-Up Workshop to Help You Plan for Your Library's Future! This
workshop will give an introduction to demographics and marketing techniques
useful in analyzing your user base and planning for your library's future.
It will also explore ways you can translate this information into maps with
a hands-on introduction to some user-friendly Geographic Information System
(GIS) tools. Whether you are rethinking collection priorities, expanding
library outreach activities, or even looking at options for the location of
a new branch, this workshop will provide you with the tools you need to get
started.

 

Presenters: Rebecca Hyde and Rachel Rubin, two librarians selected to be a
part of the American Library Association's "Emerging Leaders" program. In
fact, this workshop was developed through their collaboration and research
while in the Emerging Leaders program.

 

When: Monday, April 7th, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Where: OHIONET

Cost: $80 (members); $100 (non-members)
