[OPLINLIST] OHIONET workshop: Cataloging Music Materials--still seats available

Greetings!
There is still time for you or a fellow staff member to register for
OHIONET's workshop, Cataloging Music Materials: Sound Recordings, Scores,
and More! Guest instructor Jay Weitz of OCLC will lead this instruction
session which focuses on specific cataloging problems, including such topics
as field 007, chief sources of information, statements of responsibility,
the types of numbers found on scores and sound recordings, edition and
musical presentation statements, dates, physical descriptions, titles, and
when to input a new record. A packet of examples will be provided. Come
armed with your specific questions, as that will spur class discussion.
When: Thursday, May 29th, 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Where: OHIONET
Cost: $80 (members); $100 (non-members)
