[OPLINLIST] WiFi 24/7

At GCPL we leave our wireless on 24/7.
You do get a signal albeit weak in the parking lot and I've seen patrons use it when we're closed.
But, our wireless requires library card authentication so that pretty much insures that only patrons can use it.

Subject: [OPLINLIST] WiFi 24/7

It took us awhile, but last year the UTPL libraries added WiFi to the services we offer to the public. We do unplug when we close, as some of our parking lots may not be the best to be in late at night when the library is not open. Our signal isn’t strong enough to go beyond the parking lots. My question to the group—do you leave your WiFi on all the time, or turn off when the library is not open? Any issues with either way?
Thanks
Alison
