[OPLINLIST] State Library of Ohio Board recently awards $227, 216 in IMLS LSTA Minigrants

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that the State Library
Board recently awarded $227,216  in federal Institute of Museum and
Library Services LSTA Minigrants to 17 libraries. "The State Library
Board was impressed by the wide range of ideas expressed by these
proposals," said State Librarian Beverly Cain. "The libraries will use a
variety of technologies to reach a broad spectrum of patrons including
at-risk youth, older adults, preschoolers, and even students at a sister
school in Tanzania.  We look forward to hearing about the outcomes of
these projects." 

 

Public libraries receiving the grants include Dayton Metro Library, Ida
Rupp Public Library, Licking County Library, Public Library of
Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Public Library of Steubenville and
Jefferson County, and Richwood-North Union Public Library. School and
Academic libraries awarded LSTA minigrants include the Arcadia Local
Schools, Educational Resource Center/Columbus State Community College,
Lake Local Schools, Mt. Gilead Exempted Village Schools, Napoleon Area
Schools, Northern Local Schools, Ralph M. Besse Library/Ursuline
College, Scioto County Career Technical Center, and Springfield Local
Schools.
