[OPLINLIST] Take a program, leave a program

*Sometimes you hear an idea for a library program, and you instantly 
don’t want to do it.* Not because it’s a bad idea, but because it 
doesn’t fit your library or your patrons (or your budget). But with a 
few minor modifications, you’ve got a new program ready to add to the 
schedule.

perfectly match your needs, but they do bring fresh ideas and fresh

    Email Management Level-Up Lab: Next Week!

When there are emails you need to write, do you remember them at the 
wrong time? In the shower, or a random moment over the weekend? You can 
help your memory by setting aside a time to review emails.

As you get emails through the week, don’t just leave ones that need a 
response in your inbox. Put them together in a folder. That way you 
don’t have to hunt through other emails to find them. Give yourself a 
set time to review them each week, and you won’t suddenly wonder what 
email you forgot as you’re switching off the light.

    Fall Staff Training Symposium: Triage

Patrons bring us their problems, and a wide variety of them, too. 
Sometimes they have problems with technology–with their laptops or 
e-readers. But sometimes patrons themselves need help. When that’s the 
case, we can help with that, too. Whether it’s connecting a patron to 
local resources or responding to physical or mental crisis, *this year’s 
Staff Training Symposium will help you triage immediate issues and help 
patrons work toward lasting solutions.
