Good Afternoon E-Rate Community,

*This is another reminder of the upcoming FY2017 Form 471 deadline. 
**The last day to file is May 11th.  The window will close at 11:59pm.*

Please be aware, when completing the 471, the EPC portal allows you to 
copy funding requests from last year.The copy process works well; 
however, it copies over the *Service Start Date* of the previous funding 
year, generally 7/1/2016.Be sure to update that field.If you have 
already filed your Form 471, you can correct the date by submitting a 
RAL Modification.

To file the RAL Modification, go the bottom of the Landing Page, under 
"FCC Forms & Post-Commit Requests", search for your FY2017 Form 471.  
Click on the application number, which will take you to the summary 
page.  On the left side of the screen, click on "Related Actions", and 
then “Submit Modification Request (RAL).  Choose "Application" and 
"Funding Request Details" from the pull-down.Click the box to the left 
of the funding request you need to correct, and then “Edit Purchase 
Agreement”.Correct the “Service Start Date”, and then click “Save and 
Continue”.To complete the process, click on “Finish & Submit Request”.

To see RAL Modifications once they have been submitted, click on 
“Reports” on the blue main menu bar at the top of the screen.You will 
then see the option “My Submitted Modification Requests (RAL)”.  You can 
search modifications by funding year.
