Senior Manager, Branch Services

Stark Library, based in Canton, Ohio, is seeking a seasoned people manager with a high degree of initiative and flexibility to fill its newly created Senior Manager of Branch Services position.  This position will report to the Senior Director of Public Services, and oversee the work of 4-5 Branch Managers across the system.  As part of the responsibilities associated with this role, the Senior Manager of Branch Services will ensure the quality and effectiveness of system-wide services such as passports, job search assistance and meeting room use, as well as identify and develop new offerings based on community needs and interests.  Additionally, this position will lead the system's Security Resource Team and oversee the substitute pool managers draw from to support frontline staffing.

Successful candidates will have a positive, established track record of managing others, preferably both individual contributors as well as other managers.  They will have deep knowledge of public library services and the ability to work with multiple departments to ensure the successful creation and implementation of such services.  The ideal candidate should also be adaptable and at east with managing a variety of people and situations, both employee and patron-related.
