over the weekend.  Details are outlined below by Lorrie Germann, our E-rate
consultant.

Lorrie recommends that libraries experiencing this issue take no action at
this time.

Hello E-Rate Community,

I hope you all had a very Happy Memorial Day weekend!

I want to make you aware of an issue with the E-Rate EPC portal.

Beginning this past Friday, applicants and consultants began receiving
notices of “new users” being added to their EPC accounts. The messages sent
to the Account Administrators stated:

“A new user, [Name] has been created for your organization in USAC’s E-rate
Productivity Center (EPC). If you feel that this was done in error, please
contact USAC’s
Client Service Bureau at (888) 203-8100.”

In most cases, the “new user” named was a previous employee that USAC’s
system erroneously reinstated into EPC without the Account Administrator’s
authorization. These messages appear to be the result of a USAC IT glitch.
USAC has notified us that they are working on a fix, but until that
happens, the notifications may continue to go out. I will share information
as it is received. In the meantime, I would suggest you leave the “new”
accounts in the portal.
