The talk around here is to prepare to not be able to get anywhere. They are
warning us to have our gas tanks full before hand to realize we might not be
able to get to a grocery store.
I hadn't really thought about closing until recently.
I think we should close all day, just to be off the roads.

Subject: [OPLINLIST] Eclipclaypse 2024!
Happy Friday, all!
Looking ahead to April of 2024
<https://publicsafety.ohio.gov/home/news-and-events/all-events/ohio-total-so
lar-eclipse#:~:text=On%20Monday%2C%20April%208%2C%202024,a%20rare%20and%20sp
ectacular%20event.> and wondering what everyone has planned for the
eclipse. Many of us are having flashbacks to 2017 and the great glasses
debacle. We're trying to get ahead of that this time and have a boatload of
sun blockers on order to hand out.
Chillicothe and southcentral Ohio are not in totality, but we're close
enough that folks (me included) will want to drive west an hour to be in
darkness. I'd like to give the entire staff the opportunity to go see this
once in a lifetime event. We're planning programs and education for the
weeks leading up to, but have nothing planned on the day of the eclipse.
Is anyone closing for the day? Half the day? Or in any other way curbing
activities?
James
