ITSD Network Services Customer Update - April 30, 2004
Scheduled Maintenance:
None.
Completed Maintenance:
Tuesday, April 27, 3:00 - 6:00 a.m.
ITSD network engineers made routing adjustments in the core of the ohio.gov
network.
ITSD network engineers moved SVC's from BBOET1 and BBOET2 to a new OC3
backbone.
Security Assessment:
ITSD is currently undergoing a Security Assessment and Risk analysis. An
outside vendor has been contracted to conduct this study for ITSD as well
as thirteen other state entities. To minimize network impact, the
assessment towards networking devices and critical equipment will be
conducted during the next three maintenance windows that occur from 3:00 am
to 6:00 a.m. every Tuesday.
Domain Name System Procedure:
Effective April 19, 2004 all DNS requests that are received in the Network
Operations Center after 4:00pm will be processed the next business day.
