Hi everyone!
I didn't know if anyone else was aware, but Mozilla has released their
Firefox ESR(Extended Support Release). The difference between Firefox ESR
and Firefox is Firefox ESR is geared more towards Enterprise, Academic, and
larger installations.
The ESR of Firefox will be supported for 1 year and will receive security
and critical fixes only. So instead of being forced to upgrade from Firefox
9 to 10, etc.You will receive minor incremental updates IE: 10.0.1, 10.0.2,
etc..this means you can stay on the same version or release of Firefox for a
longer period of time while still receiving security updates. This will
allow you a better chance to test things before deploying major upgrades
(Which can be important if your using extensions like Public Fox)
The Firefox ESR Policy can be found here
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise/Firefox/ExtendedSupport:Proposal
The Firefox ESR installers/binaries can be found here
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all.html
just wanted to spread the info.
Sincerely
