Thanks, that is what I have been doing as well. It is killing our goodwill with the public since they are constantly having this issue with our public machines.

Hi Mindy!

We are having the same issue. Our PCs can be in the frozen state for a week and then the sporadic freeze ups happen. All of our software is completely up to date and it doesn't make a difference. I contacted Faronics in June and this is a larger issue they're struggling with. In the meantime, they have been sending us different test builds and drivers to try out.

I would suggest reaching out to their support. They will probably have you set up a crash dump report so they can try and isolate the cause of the problem. So far the test drivers have not worked, but they can have you try new beta update for the server and clients.

Has anyone else experienced the sporadic lockup of pcs using DeepFreeze? The machines will just randomly lockup while patrons are using them and must be rebooted each time. If you have experienced this and you have found a comparable replacement that you would recommend from experience using it, that would be greatly appreciated. Running our public machines in a "thawed" state to avoid the issue is not an option for us.

Thanks,

Mindy Holmes
