[SEO-Updates] SEO Important Announcement - BLUEcloud Mobile (SEOLibraries App) 2019.w28 Release - KNOWN ISSUE / RESOLVED

Greetings SEO Members,

There was a known issue in the SEO Libraries App that prevented users from renewing all their items at once.  This has been addressed in the recent upgrade of 2019.5 I announced this week.  Users will now be able to use the Renew All button without receiving any error.

Known Issue:

This issue has been resolved by renewing these items in sequential order instead of attempting to renew them at the same time which caused the "records in use error".

Greetings SEO Members,

As a result of the recent 2019.w28 administrative update, the SEO Libraries App is experiencing an error when the "Renew all" feature is used.

Your users may see the message "The records are currently in use. Please try again later."  SirsiDynix is aware of this issue and the app development team is working on a fix.  As a workaround, please notify your users to renew their items one-by-one by tapping on each item and choosing Renew.

Greetings members,
A new version of BLUEcloud Mobile (SEOLibraries App) has been released and will be rolled out to all users. Android users have already started seeing the update. iOS users will see the updates after they are approved for distribution by the Apple Store sometime this week.

To take advantage of the new features, users must update the application on their device(s). For users with auto-update enabled in their device settings, no additional action is required. This version includes feature additions, bug fixes, and backend improvements.

Notable features in this release include:

  *   Increased hold information on Details display  - The Holds screen and Details screen now display the expiration date for picking up a hold
  *   Bulk actions in My Account screen  - In the Checkouts page, users can now select multiple checked-out items to renew them at the same time
  *   Bulk actions in Holds screen - In the Holds screen of the BLUEcloud Mobile app, users can now select multiple items and suspend, resume, or cancel the holds on those items or change the pickup location for those items
  *   Improved Place Hold visibility - The visibility of the Place Hold button has been improved to better detect when to hide the button, such as when the patron already has the item checked out or has already placed a hold
  *   Accessibility Features - Users with limited capacities to see, hear, or exercise muscular control can now more easily use the app via accessibility functions such as the screen reader, text size adjustments, zoom, and high-contrast buttons

Bug Fixes:

  *   MO-302 eResource Central Suspend Hold button not working correctly for OverDrive titles  - When a user tried to suspend a hold on an OverDrive item, the suspension would be made in OverDrive, but the BLUEcloud Mobile app would not display that the suspension was made. This has been fixed to display the suspension range correctly in the app.
  *   MO-359 Denying location permissions triggers message prompt  - After installing the BLUEcloud Mobile app, the user is prompted to grant Location Services access to the app. If the user denied access, when they opened the app, an error message would open informing them that they needed to grant Location Services access. When the user denied access again and selected to not receive the warning again and then closed the app, when they opened the app again, the warning would open again. This has been fixed to respect the user's selection to not open the warning in the future.
