EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Fiscal Officer, Part-Time

 

DATE OF POSTING: September 23, 2019

LOCATION: Franklin Library

REPORTS TO: Board of Trustees

HOURS: Approximately 25-30 hours per week

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Franklin-Springboro Public Library is a busy, respected library that is a very visible and active part of the community it serves: Franklin, Franklin Township, Carlisle, Springboro, and Clearcreek Township.  The Library has an annual operating budget of approximately $3,000,000 and two branch locations.  The Fiscal Officer has a direct responsibility to the Board of Trustees of the library pursuant to Section 3375.32 Ohio Revised Code; and is responsible for, in cooperation with the Director, ensuring sound fiscal control and management of the library.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Experience working in a public finance department with the state auditor’s Uniform Accounting Network (UAN) or comparable experience, preferred.  Familiarity with governmental fund accounting and reporting.  Successful completion of criminal background check.  Must meet bonding requirements.

 

BENEFITS: This is a part-time exempt position.  The salary range is dependent on qualifications and established by the Board of Trustees.  Benefits include sick and vacation leave, health, dental, and life insurance and membership in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
