[OPLINLIST] No-shows at programs

Hi, David!
We do set a cap on some programs.  But the recent one in question was set at 100 and we had 92 sign up, and then only a third of them showed up.  We just got Communico, and haven't started using it for registration yet, so maybe that will help, rather than the way we are still having Chris Perry do it manually.

Can you cap your registration? Put a limit and then have everyone over the limit on a standby list. We do that and always have people calling in to cancel their registration. We automate all of this through Communico.

We have tried making reminder calls AND sending reminder emails (not with this recent large program, but with others), but that doesn't seem to help.  We also offer other events that don't require registration, but some just really need reservations.  Anyone have any ideas?
